What happens to trains at Gatwick, Stansted, and Luton airports on a bank holiday in the United Kingdom?
Planned engineering works can often take place around bank holidays, and other weekends are published about 12 weeks ahead. Over Christmas and New Year 2026 to 2027, no trains run to Gatwick, Stansted, or Luton Airport Parkway on 25 December. On 26 December, Gatwick Express does not run, no trains run to Luton Airport Parkway, and Stansted Express runs only between Tottenham Hale and the airport.
