What are Solidaritätszuschlag and Sozialversicherung lines on my Lohnabrechnung in Germany?
Solidaritätszuschlag may appear as an add-on to Lohnsteuer under published rules. Sozialversicherung lines usually cover Kranken-, Pflege-, Renten- and Arbeitslosenversicherung contributions. They are separate from income tax.
