Everyone talks about a tax refund from work. what does that mean in Canada?
During the year, tax is often taken from your pay and sent to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). When you file your tax return, if more was taken than you owe, the CRA may send the difference back as a refund. A refund is mostly your money returned. not “free money.” Exact amounts depend on your return.
