How is a tax refund paid in Norway?

Skatteetaten says money back on the tax assessment in Norway means you paid too much tax. The refund is paid only when you have registered an account number, and an amount under 100 kroner is not paid out. If the amount in the account is smaller than the assessment, other claims may have been set against it, and the agency sends a letter about those claims.
