What is PAYE tax on my payslip in New Zealand?
Pay As You Earn (PAYE) is tax your employer withholds from pay during the year and sends to IRD. It is an estimate against your yearly tax. Your tax return (if you need one) reconciles it. This is not your refund or bill.
