What should I check before I transfer euros from Austria?

The national bank says that a cross-border euro transfer to an EU or EEA country costs the same as a domestic euro transfer. The transfer needs the recipient's IBAN. A payment to a SEPA country outside the EU and the EEA, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland, can cost more.
