When does the school year start in South Korea?
South Korea's Elementary and Secondary Education Act says the school year starts on 1 March and runs through the last day of February the next year. Classes are in the daytime and full time, unless a statute or the school rules allow night, seasonal, part-time, or broadcast classes. Term dates, the number of class days, and holidays are set by presidential decree.
