Are public holidays the same in every state in Malaysia?
The official government portal of Malaysia says a federal public holiday is declared by the federal government and applies in every state. A state public holiday is declared by that state and applies only there. National Day on 31 August and Malaysia Day on 16 September are federal holidays on that page.
