What are the legal public holidays in France?
Only 1 May must be a day off for private-sector employees in France. An employee can still work that day in a business that cannot stop, such as a hospital or public transport. The other legal holidays are New Year's Day, Easter Monday, 8 May, Ascension, Whit Monday, 14 July, Assumption, All Saints' Day, 11 November, and Christmas Day.
