Can a private-sector worker be dismissed for pregnancy in the United Arab Emirates?

Federal Decree-Law 33 of 2021 says it is not permissible to terminate the service of a female worker, or to notify her of termination, because of pregnancy. The same bar covers maternity leave and absence that the maternity article allows. Working for another employer during that leave can cost the wages for the leave, which is a separate rule.
