What does a dog, cat, or ferret need to enter Poland from another European Union country?
The Chief Veterinary Inspectorate says the animal needs a microchip, or a readable tattoo made before 3 July 2011, a valid rabies vaccination, and a pet passport issued by an authorised veterinarian. The animal is at least 12 weeks old when the vaccine is given, the vaccine follows the chip, and a first vaccination counts only after 21 days. Polish rules do not allow a young dog, cat, or ferret into Poland without a valid rabies vaccination.
