What does a dog or cat need to enter Mexico?
SENASICA says you request the zoosanitary import certificate for a dog or cat at the port, airport, or border. From the United States or Canada the animal has a physical inspection, and a health certificate and a vaccination card are not required, though a dog from the United States also needs a screwworm inspection document signed by a USDA-accredited veterinarian within the 5 days before travel. From any other country you present a health certificate issued within 15 days that records the rabies vaccination, except for an animal under 3 months, and a parasite treatment within the previous 6 months.
