What does a dog, cat, or ferret need to enter Greece from another European Union country?
The Ministry of Rural Development and Food says a dog, cat, or ferret entering from another European Union country needs an electronic identification, or a readable tattoo made before 3 July 2011, and a pet passport that records the rabies vaccination. Up to five animals may travel when they are not for sale and they travel with the owner or an authorised person. Greece does not accept an animal under 12 weeks, or between 12 and 16 weeks, and it does not ban specific dog or cat breeds.
