What does a dog need to enter Denmark from another European Union country?
Fødevarestyrelsen says the dog needs a microchip, or a readable tattoo made before 3 July 2011, a valid EU pet passport, and a rabies vaccination. The dog is at least 12 weeks old when the vaccine is given, the vaccine does not come before the chip, and a first vaccination counts only after 21 days. The authority names 13 dog breeds, and crosses of those breeds, that may not be brought into Denmark.
