What does a dog or cat need to enter Chile?
SAG says a dog or cat enters with an international veterinary certificate valid for 10 days, or with a European Union passport if it comes from a member country. It is identified by a tattoo or an ISO microchip, and a first rabies vaccination is at least 21 days before entry. A veterinarian examines it in the 10 days before the certificate and treats internal and external parasites between 5 and 30 days before that certificate.
