What should I check before I buy a dog in the Netherlands?
RVO says not to buy a dog that has no chip, no registration, and no valid EU pet passport. A dog born on or after 1 November 2021, and any dog that changes holder, needs that passport. After you take the dog, register it in your name within 2 weeks.
