What is the basic payment account in Sweden?
Sweden's financial supervisor says a consumer who lives in Sweden, or elsewhere in the EEA, can ask a Swedish bank for a payment account with basic functions. A bank may still refuse or close one in some cases, including when it cannot confirm who the person is. If it refuses, the written notice is free.
