How do I check my National Insurance record in the United Kingdom?
Your National Insurance record shows what you have paid, up to the start of the current tax year, and any National Insurance credits. It shows gaps that do not count as years toward your State Pension. It also shows whether voluntary contributions would change your State Pension forecast, and whether you can pay them online and the cost. Sign in on the official page. You may need a photo ID, such as a passport or a driving licence. The page is also in Welsh. For a printed statement, you say which years. You cannot request the current tax year or the previous one. If you are in the United Kingdom, you can ask online. You need your National Insurance number. If you are abroad, you can ask online or by post. Post to PT Operations North East England, HM Revenue and Customs, BX9 1AN. If your State Pension age is after 5 April 2016, the record will not show Isle of Man contributions. Write to National Insurance contributions, Income Tax Division, Government Office, Bucks Road, Douglas, Isle of Man IM1 3TX.
