What meal break does state law require for adult workers in Rhode Island?
Rhode Island requires 20 minutes for a meal in a 6-hour shift, and 30 minutes in an 8-hour shift. The rule does not apply to a licensed health care facility, or to an employer with fewer than 3 people on a shift.
