What meal break does state law require for adult workers in Maryland?
Maryland's meal rule applies to a retail establishment with 50 or more retail employees. A shift of 4 to 6 consecutive hours gets 15 minutes, and more than 6 consecutive hours gets 30 minutes. A shift of 8 or more hours also gets another 15 minutes for every additional 4 consecutive hours.
