캘리포니아에서는 하루 5시간 이상 근무하는 경우 30분의 식사 시간을 요구합니다. 근무시간이 6시간 이하인 경우에는 협의에 의해 면제될 수 있습니다. 10시간 후에 두 번째 30분의 식사 시간이 필요하며, 첫 번째 휴식 시간이 면제되지 않고 하루가 12시간을 넘지 않는 경우에만 두 번째 휴식 시간이 면제될 수 있습니다.
