How do I protect myself from a bank or KYC scam in India?
The Reserve Bank of India says never to share your account number, login, password, PIN, UPI PIN, one-time code, or card details with anyone, including a person who says they work for the bank. A call or message that threatens to block your account unless you update KYC, and then tells you to tap a link, is a common fraud. Use the bank's own website or the branch.
