How do I get an instant e-PAN in India?
The Income Tax Department says an instant e-PAN is free, and it is a valid PAN, for an individual who has never been allotted a PAN, who has a valid Aadhaar with a linked mobile number, who is not a minor on the day of the request, and who is not a representative assessee. The only paper the page asks for is that Aadhaar with updated know-your-customer details. A person who already has a PAN cannot use this service to get another one, including when the old card is lost.
