How do I protect myself or a family member from fraud in Canada?
The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre says to hang up if someone pressures you to pay right away. Look up the organisation yourself and call a number you find, not the one in the message. If the contact says a family member is in trouble, talk to other family members before you send money.
