What should I check on my first Lohnabrechnung in Germany?
Check your name, pay period, hours or salary, Lohnsteuer and Solidaritätszuschlag if shown, Sozialversicherung contributions, other deductions, and net pay (Nettolohn). If a line looks wrong, keep the Lohnabrechnung and ask payroll with the paper in hand.
