What happens if I apply for several credit cards at the same time in Ireland?
A lender must ask the Central Credit Register for your report when it considers an application for €2,000 or more. Each time a report is opened, the register stores a footprint with the lender's name, the date, and the purpose. The register does not tell the lender to say yes or no, and it does not produce a score. Several applications mean several footprints on that report.
