What can I check if a lender says no to a credit card in Canada?
The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada says an error on your credit report may be why you could not get an unsecured credit card. The page names Canada's two main credit bureaus, Equifax and TransUnion. It says to check the report and to correct an error. This page does not say the lender must send you a written list of reasons. This page does not say you will be approved.
