What happens if there is no will in Czechia?
The civil code says that where succession does not follow an inheritance contract or a will, statutory succession applies to the estate or to that part of it. If no statutory heir inherits either, the estate passes to the state, and the state is treated as a statutory heir. The state cannot refuse the estate.
