When is night work prohibited for a 16 or 17 year old in Washington?
The Department of Labor child labor table, revised July 15, 2025, limits night work for a 16 or 17 year old in Washington from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Sunday through Thursday, or from midnight on Friday and Saturday and when school is out, with a 5 a.m. start when school is out. Door-to-door sales run from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. An adult must supervise work after 8 p.m. in a service job.
