When is night work prohibited for a 16 or 17 year old in Maine?
The Department of Labor child labor table, revised July 15, 2025, limits night work for a 16 or 17 year old in Maine for a minor enrolled in school, from 10:15 p.m. until 7 a.m. when school is in session the next day, or from midnight before a day when there is no school. Otherwise the table lists 5 a.m. as the morning start.
