When is night work prohibited for a 16 or 17 year old in Connecticut?
The Department of Labor child labor table, revised July 15, 2025, limits night work for a 16 or 17 year old in Connecticut from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. in a restaurant or similar place, with midnight when the next day is not a school day. In manufacturing, mechanical work, and retail the table lists 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., with later closing times it names. Hairdressing, a bowling alley, a pool hall, and a photography gallery are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m..
