When is night work prohibited for a 16 or 17 year old in Alabama?
The Department of Labor child labor table, revised July 15, 2025, limits night work for a 16 or 17 year old in Alabama from 10 p.m. before a school day until 5 a.m., if the minor is enrolled in school, through age 19. An exemption may be granted for a 16 or 17 year old when it is in that minor's best interests.
