What is buy now, pay later in the Netherlands?
Buy now, pay later (BNPL / gespreid betalen) lets you split a purchase into scheduled payments, often with little or no interest if you pay on time. Missed payments can bring fees. It is still money you owe. AFM explains how consumer credit and BNPL work in the Netherlands.
