Where does the automatic wage-tax assessment start in Austria?

This page is the automatic employee tax assessment, the antragslose Arbeitnehmerveranlagung. In the cases the page lists, Finanzamt Österreich works out a wage-tax credit without an application and sends a notice. The letter shows the account the office already has. If that account is right, you do nothing. If it is wrong, tell the tax office within four weeks, in FinanzOnline or in writing. You can also opt out in that letter if you still want to claim extra deductions. This card does not say what you owe. Confirm on the official page.
