What does social security pay when an insured person dies in Thailand?
The Social Security Office says a death that is not from work needs one month of contributions inside the six months before the month of death, and the page sets a funeral payment for the person who arranged the funeral. A survivor grant equals two months of average wages when contributions lasted at least 36 months and under 120 months, or six months of average wages after 120 months or more. It is paid to the person named in writing, or split equally among the spouse, the parents, and the children.
