When does a car need a kontrollbesiktning in Sweden?
Transportstyrelsen says a car up to 3,500 kg is inspected the first time no later than 36 months after the month it was first put into traffic. The second inspection is no later than 24 months after the month of the first inspection. After that, the inspection is no later than 14 months after the month of the previous inspection. You can inspect earlier. The time to the next inspection is counted from the month the inspection is done.
