What is the disability pension in Portugal?
The social security guide says the disability pension is a monthly cash payment for a person in the general scheme who has a permanent incapacity for work, when the cause is not the person's job. Relative incapacity means the person cannot earn more than one third of the wage, and absolute incapacity means the person cannot earn any wage. The published contribution record is five years for relative incapacity and three years for absolute incapacity.
