What is unemployment benefit in Portugal?
The social security guide says unemployment benefit is a monthly cash payment for a person who is unemployed and registered at the employment centre, to replace wages lost when a job ends without the person choosing it. The request has to be made within 90 consecutive days of becoming unemployed. The published wage record is at least 360 days in the 24 months before the job ended.
