What is the disability benefit in Norway?
NAV says disability benefit replaces income when a lasting illness or injury is the main reason a person's ability to earn is reduced. As a main rule the person is between 18 and 67, has been a member of the national insurance scheme for the five years before the illness or injury, and has at least a 50 percent reduction in the ability to earn. Before the request, the page says NAV must as a main rule look at whether work is still possible.
