What is unemployment benefit in Norway?
NAV says unemployment benefit is cash support when a person is unemployed or temporarily laid off and has lost at least half of their working time. The person must be younger than 67, apply, register as a job seeker, live in Norway as a member of the national insurance scheme, and send an employment status form every 14 days. The page also says the person must be a genuine job seeker.
