How do I put a car in my name in the Netherlands?
The RDW says that when you buy a vehicle, or take it over, you transfer the registration into your name. You do that online, or at a registration counter, an RDW desk, or an inspection station. If you buy from an RDW-recognised business, they transfer it for you. It is in your name as soon as the transfer is done. The seller needs a valid registration card and the full transfer code. A paper registration document cannot be transferred online.
