How do I apply for a passport in Malaysia?
The immigration page says a Malaysian international passport is issued for five years or for ten years from the date of issue. A first application is made in person at an immigration office, and a person under 18 comes with a parent or a legal guardian. An online renewal is allowed when the current passport is in good condition and still in the person's possession, and it is closed to a child of 13 or under, a person registered as OKU, and a passport that is damaged or lost.
