What is the marriage allowance in Macau?
The marriage allowance is a one-off payment when a beneficiary marries, if contributions were paid in at least nine of the 12 months before the quarter of the marriage, or if the person is already receiving the old-age pension or the invalidity pension. The request is made within 60 days of the marriage and includes a marriage certificate. The law sets it as a single payment.
