What is job-seeking benefit in South Korea?
Government24 says job-seeking benefit is cash for an insured worker who left a job for a reason that was not their choice and is actively looking for work. It is paid inside the 12 months that start the day after the job ended, for 120 to 270 days depending on the insured period and age, at 60 percent of the average wage of the three months before the job ended. The recognition request is made in person at the employment centre, later status forms can be sent online, and the published insured record for an employee is at least 180 days in the 18 months before the job ended.
