When does a car need a revisione in Italy?
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport says the first revisione is due 4 years after first registration, within the month the registration certificate was issued. Later tests are every 2 years, within the month of the last test. That applies to cars up to 3,500 kg. Taxis and hire cars with a driver are every year. An authorised workshop can test a car up to 3,500 kg. A civil motorisation office can test any vehicle.
