What is the individual health card in Spain?
The health ministry says the individual health card is the official document that identifies each person when they use the services of the national health system. The regional health services and INGESA issue it to residents in their territory who have shown a right to public health care. A card issued by any of those services is valid across the whole national health system, including at a pharmacy for a prescribed medicine.
