What is permanent incapacity in Spain?
The Seguridad Social says permanent incapacity is a payment that covers the loss of earnings when illness or an accident reduces or removes a worker's ability to work. Partial incapacity for the usual job is a drop of at least 33 percent in normal performance for that job. Total incapacity rules out the usual job but leaves another job open, absolute incapacity rules out every trade, and severe incapacity means the person needs someone else's help for essential acts such as dressing, moving, or eating.
