What do I do after a car accident in Denmark?
The police say that for a smaller crash with no one hurt, and for parking damage, you give your name and the car's registration number and you note the other registration number. Call 112 if you need urgent help from the police, the fire service, or rescue, for example a serious injury or a fire. Call 114 if you do not need urgent police help. If you can, get the names, addresses, registration numbers, and insurer details of the people involved, including a driver from another country, and the names and addresses of witnesses. Limit the damage as far as you can. When the police examination is finished, you have the vehicle removed. Photos of the scene can help your insurer. The duties in the traffic law apply whether or not the crash was your fault.
