What is sickness benefit in Czechia?
ČSSZ says sickness benefit replaces earnings when an insured person cannot work because of a temporary incapacity, or because of a quarantine, that lasts more than 14 calendar days. For an employee, the employer pays wage replacement for the first 14 days, and the district office pays the benefit from the 15th day. The doctor issues the decision through eNeschopenka, and the employee does not hand a paper form to the employer.
