What is the SUS card in Brazil?
The health ministry says the SUS card identifies a person in the public health system and creates one national record so care can be organised. A new card is issued in person at a public health unit in the person's city, such as a hospital, a clinic, or a health post. The person brings an identity document, a CPF, and a birth or marriage certificate for the registration.
